Special Olympics Nebraska

I have been a volunteer for Special Olympics Nebraska since 2015 as a Sports Dietitian. I have been involved in creating nutrition education materials, presenting to athletes, coaches & caretakers, facilitating Healthy Athletes screenings, collaborating internationally on the development of a Health Minds component for athletes, creating adaptive learning strategies for individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities, and participating on the Special Olympics Nebraska Health Advisory Committee. I also created the first ever Special Olympics team for OMNI Inventive Care, the OMNI Olympians.
